Springer launches interdisciplinary open access journal SpringerPlus
Springer launches Springerplus, an open access interdisciplinary journal which cover the entire spectrum of scientific research on emerging areas.

“SpringerOpen is Springer’s new suite of open access journals which will cover all disciplines. SpringerOpen journals are fully and immediately open access and will publish articles under the Creative Commons Attribution license. This makes it easy for authors to fully comply with open access mandates and retain copyright. SpringerOpen journals combine open access and our expertise in delivering high-quality and rapid publications, from online submission systems and in-depth peer review to an efficient, author-friendly production process.”

I am Mallikarjun Dora, presently working at Vikram Sarabhai Library, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad as Professional Assistant.Here i am working in Database and ILL section , earlier i was in periodical section, apart from this also involved in repository development with Dspace software.
Prior to this i was in Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode as an internee, I can say i was lucky to in IIMK library to start up my career. Most of the new technologies and trends are in our library filed i learned from there, its provide me alot of confidence and a solid foundation to build up my career. There i had participated in two workshop one is on Dspace Institutional Repository Software and International Workshop on Greenstone Digital Library software. IIMK library is not only a place to learn but a place where you have freedom to do experiment. Another best thing of IIMK is its surrounded with natural beauty , its situated in the top of the hill in rainy time you fell that you are near to the heaven and flowing with the clouds After all Kerala is the God’s own country.
Studying in Sambalpur University is one of my best time in my whole educational career. The University is surrounded by small hilly area out from the city pollution, quiet and peaceful place. Our department has its own beauty mixing with faculty of two generation (Technology and Theory). In my short span of career i have seen a good number of Library Science department all over India, from my observation i can say it is one of the best department in India.
My higher secondary and Graduation from Rajendra College one of the oldest college in orissa, it is 50 km far from village (small village most of the people are farmer).
I love to write poetry and it was in the pick when i were doing my graduation(publish few in the college magazine),listening old hindi songs (mukesh, latha), now its turn to Ghazal.
