Academic Library 2.0

After the hubb of web 2.0 , there is so many attempt to define Library 2.0 in context to library environment by library and information professional.

today i got an intresting stuff by Michael Habib who has try to lay out the concept of Academic Library 2.0 model, its looking intresting

Here its clearly differentiate between the physical and virtual space in the library.

Although there is criticism are going on what will be the shape of library 2.0 . These attempt are very good sign of forward looking in this contemporary library fields. its mixture of physical library world with virtual escent so that user don’t fill that library is only a place of old system of and issue and return only.

but in the same time professional should care about that , we will not simply follow what google is doing ,we should be careful in our approach to deal with patron and evolve our current services so that we will make our own benchmark. Before define library 2.0, we should define the patron, services and infrastructure which paly the big role in the library.
